  4. Kess on Sat, 9th Aug 2008 9:19 pm

Not by *human* skeleton. This is a club designed by H R Giger, famous for designing the Alien movie.

This is old. It’s inspired by the “Alien” movies, Geiger, I think his name was.

That’s pictures of the “Museum H. R. Giger Bar” in Château St. Germain, Gruyères, Switzerland. Hans Ruediger Giger did for example the design of the Alien (of the movie with the same name). All of his artowrk is just impressive.

It reminds me of the inside of the alien ship in the beginning of ‘Alien’.

Cool idea, but I would never go to a club like that. The scene would be to weird, with all the goths :-)

  14. danger_dave on Mon, 11th Aug 2008 1:16 pm

It was designed by H.R. Giger, the guy who created the aliens in the Alien films.

Actually I don’t think it was inspired by the human skeleton. It’s a club designed by the surrealist artist H. R. Giger, and he uses such organic imagery in almost all his work. Actually if you watch carefully the “vertebrae” on the ceiling’s arches, they don’t look like human vertebra, they are almost alien looking.

the club is actually designed after the film Alien(s). the alien skull is seen hanging from the ceiling in picture two and various others. either way, its a very cool design!

That’s the Giger Bar, designed by renowned Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger. The bar can be found in Chur, Switzerland, and features many of Giger’s most popular designs, including The Birthmachine and different designs from his Necronomicon series.

Clearly inspired by H.R. Gieger. Knowing his proficiency in lawsuits (see aliens resurrection), i wouldnt admit it either.

This is a bar in New York I believe designed by the artist H.R. Giger. There used to be one in Tokyo and New York along with some possibly still existing in Holland. (Too lazy to look it up and check…)
